Our teams across India volunteered in right earnest. The activities included a Lake Rejuvenation drive (Bangalore); Volunteering at an institution that works with women having mental disabilities (Delhi); Seed ball making activity to promote afforestation (Hyderabad), Contributing essential medical supplies to a charitable hospital (Pune), and Supporting the work of an NGO working for the welfare of senior citizens (Mumbai).

The India-based teams were actively involved in organizing meaningful activities in various cities. They included a tree plantation drive (Bangalore); Volunteering at a special needs school (Delhi); Nutritious meals and education materials (Chennai); Building nests to attract sparrows (Hyderabad), and giving a fresh look to school walls with paint (Mumbai).

In India, our colleagues executed a series of activities covering regions like Pune (Corporate zero waste awareness workshop), Bangalore (visit to an old age home), Hyderabad (tree planting and lake clean-up), New Delhi (supply of medicines and stationery to a NGO committed to children’s development and growth) and Chennai (education supplies to a local NGO committed to children’s development.

Aligned Dealer partners of Shaw Contract India, like Seating World (Hyderabad), Office Talks (New Delhi), Ergo Systems (Pune) joined their hands for the Global Day activity.
In Bangalore, Shaw Contract's team partnered with Handson CSR, our aligned dealer partner WPS and the local community for a tree plantation exercise. While in Mumbai, we partnered with the Edifice Foundation Community Learning Center whose Director @Ravi Sarangan distributed educational material, followed by a session on career guidance.
In New Delhi, we partnered with Devarshi Chakrabarti's DC Studio and aligned dealer partner Office Talks to distribute meals.
At Chennai, our team distributed mid-day meals to the visually challenged community.
In Hyderabad, we had active participation and support from the Seating World and Rightworks teams for a lake cleaning exercise, followed by plantating of 250 saplings. Architect Nagaraju Mundrai from Liquidspace also took part. Dhruvansh was the execution partner for the event.
On the whole, it was a very successful exercise and true to the spirit of the objective

Sound Advisor is a patented tool developed by Shaw Industries to analyse and select the best product for clients’ environments based on acoustics. Good sound levels are essential for the health and wellness of people in the space.

Through the re[TURN]® Reclamation Program and recycling EcoWorx we can make our buildings our future source of raw materials.
That bottle that you recycled yesterday could be in our EcoLogix® backing tomorrow.
EcoLogix® is Cradle to Cradle Certified Bronze and offers high post-consumer recycled content — from the green polyester needled pad, improved acoustics, and cushion underfoot.
PET Hybrid is a new flooring material, made from 40% post-consumer PET. This highly durable product is 4 mm thick and can be installed side-by-side with most EcoWorx® carpet tiles with no need for transitions.
EcoSolution Q100™ is a high performance nylon fiber with 100% pre-consumer content.* Products with EcoSolution Q100™ have low embodied carbon as reflected in the EC3 tool and are carbon neutral.
We also have reduced our greenhouse gas (GHG) intensity by 40% compared to 2010 (per kilogram of finished product).
As a result of Shaw’s investments to help reduce our energy and GHG impact, we have cut our Scope 1 & 2 emissions by more than half since our 2010 baseline.
Shaw has achieved carbon neutrality in our commercial carpet operations (since 2018).
Shaw Contract joined this momentous effort in September 2018, and we report our progress annually.
In 2013, Shaw installed a 1 megawatt solar array atop its carpet tile manufacturing facility in Cartersville, GA (Plant 15), which generates enough clean energy to power 100 homes in Georgia annually.
