The project design brief was clear: create a space that felt energising yet peaceful – stylish yet comfortable. The architectural transparency of the building played a pivotal role, with its full-glass façade amplifying the importance of natural light and its reflections within the interior space.

To reflect this sensitivity to light, the Endless Tile from Living Systems collection by Shaw Contract was selected as the main flooring solution. Its refined colourway was chosen specifically to complement and enhance the interplay of light across the spacious office, creating an uplifting atmosphere throughout the space.

In the open-plan working areas, a bordered installation adding a darker same style carpet tile in colour Lava created a definition and elegance to the clean architectural lines, subtly guiding movement and creating visual rhythm without distraction.

At the entrance of the office, a bespoke feature area was created using Shaw Contract Haven collection, setting the tone for the space with a refined, tactile welcome. This waiting lounge corner acts as a focal point – both functional and symbolic, demonstrating how flooring can shape experience and perception from the very first step.

Supplier selection played a crucial role in the success of this project, as Barsan was determined to reflect its ongoing commitment to innovation and global standards, not only in logistics, but in the very environments that support their people. Materials and manufacturers were chosen with care to ensure alignment with the company’s values.

The choice of Shaw Contract products was therefore far from coincidental. Both Haven and Living Systems collections are Cradle to Cradle Certified®, Air Comfort Gold certified, manufactured in a carbon-neutral facility in Scotland, and part of free-of-charge re[TURN]® Reclamation Programme. This ensures that at the end of the flooring's useful life, the material can be responsibly recycled or repurposed, avoiding landfill and contributing to a circular economy.
