ABOUT THE PROGRAM

 

It is our foundation to celebrate the optimism of design, and its ability to positively impact our communities and our planet. Now in its 19th year, the Shaw Contract Design Awards program is our chance to look through the Design Optimist lens at spaces that inspire new ways of working, learning, healing, and thriving.

Call For Entries

Entries are now open! Share your design with the world by submitting your project via our website before entries close on 28 May 2024.

Best of Region

All projects entered will proceed to the first stage of judging; where an elite panel of design leaders will collaborate in each region to select the Best of Region winners.

Best of Globe

Each Best of Region winner will proceed to the next stage of judging, where an international judging panel will award the very best; our Best of Globe winners. 

Phase 1. Best of Region

Best of Region

All projects entered will proceed to the first stage of judging; where an elite panel of design leaders will collaborate in each region to select the Best of Region winners. Regional Judging will include the following categories:

  • Asia
  • Australia & New Zealand
  • Canada
  • India
  • Greater China
  • Latin America
  • Middle East & Africa
  • UK & Continental Europe
  • USA

Best of Region winners will be announced August 2024. 

 

Phase 2. Best of Globe

Best of Globe

Each Best of Region winner will proceed to the next stage of judging, where an international judging panel will award the very best; our Best of Globe winners.

Best of Globe winners will be announced September 2024. 

Entry Criteria

Eligibility

Projects must have a completion date between 1st January 2022 and 28th April 2024, and include at least one Shaw Contract product in the project.

Cost

There is no cost to enter, and there is no limit on the number of entries allowed per firm.

Best of Globe Prize

All Best of Globe Winners will receive a trophy to commend the achievement. Best of Globe Winners will be promoted in Shaw Contract marketing materials globally, as well as being featured in a media campaign with leading international Architecture & Design publications. . 

Each Best of Globe firm will also receive a $2,000 USD charitable donation to be awarded in their name to an organisation of its choice.
